UGC Grants Approval to 3 Private Universities for Online and ODL Courses Starting Next Academic Year
The UGC approves 3 Universities to teach online and ODL courses from next academic year onwards. The approvals will last till 2026 and 2027 respectively.
The University of Grants Commission has approved three private Universities to introduce online courses and courses for ODL learning for the coming academic year. Accordingly, Amity University, Manav Rachna Internation Institute of Research and Studies and GLA University will begin the new programmes from the next session.
The approvals have been granted under the UGC Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes Regulations 2020. The Institutes mentioned above are now eligible to teach these courses/programmes.

Courses Offered
Per the notification, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies will offer five courses, Amity University, on the other hand, will offer six courses, and GLA will offer two. Further details are mentioned in the table below.

The Institutes will teach the courses online for 2023-2025. However, the approval will be valid for these three universities till January 2026. Although, the expiration for Amity's approval is on January 2027.
