Per the official statement by S Vidyashankar, Vice-Chancellor, VTU, "To avoid delay of semester results, reforms in the evaluation system are highly needed. Therefore, we decided to evaluate the college level. From next semester, we will announce the results within a week of the completion of the examination."
Further, he added, "The new system is a time saver and will avoid bringing all evaluators to the evaluation centers. We plan to conduct the evaluation in all the engineering colleges under the supervision of college principals. Answer sheets will be mixed up, and the answer papers will be distributed among different colleges."
Candidates must remember that currently, VTU is to conduct a centralized evaluation system. Further, the university has successfully implemented the digital evaluation system. After scanning answer sheets, the university will serve those digitized answer papers to evaluators' login IDs.
Essentially, the evaluators must come to the particular evaluation center. It is among the reasons for the postponement of the VTU evaluation system. Therefore, the VTU authorities have decided to decentralize the evaluation system at the college level.
