Crest International Spell Bee Examination
In Crest International Spell Bee, the contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with varying degrees of difficulty. To compete in Spell Bee, contestants must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries.
The concept was originated in the United States and now held in various other countries around the world. Spell Bee competitions are common only in English speaking countries.

- A team of English-speaking experts has carefully designed the evaluations.
- The rapid-fire round is conducted online.
- CSB is conducted as two levels of examination.
- CSB objective-type test needs to be completed in 60 minutes.

CSB Registration
Students in classes 1-8 are eligible to compete in CREST International Spell Bee. Students can either enroll through school or on their own. All schools registered at the CREST Olympiad will receive a prospectus containing school registration forms. Interested students can register with their school coordinator.
Students may also register as individual participants. Students may apply for individual registration on the official CREST Olympiads website.
CSB Enrolment Fee
The examination fee for students studying and enrolling in India shall be INR 225 for each subject. Students who study and stay outside India are charged $10 (US Dollars).
CSB Syllabus
The difficulty level varies as per the classes. For primary grades, the syllabus has topics such as spellings of animals, birds, colors, STEM words, antonyms, etc. For higher grades, the CSB syllabus includes topics from Wren and Martin's Book and High School English Grammar and Composition book.
CSB Awards & Recognition
The awards and recognition offered to the participants are given below:
- All students who qualify for level 2 will be awarded a certificate of merit.
- The top 40 percent of students in level 2 will receive a medal and a certificate of merit.
- Class toppers of CREST Spell Bee will be awarded the achiever trophy and merit certificate.
- Each participant will receive a digital attendance certificate. It will be available on the dashboard of the participant.
- If a student meets two or more conditions, he/she will be eligible for a higher award.
