What is the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)?
SOF International Mathematics Olympiad is a platform where students can flash out their mathematics and analytical skills from school to the international level. This exam also helps students to get familiarize themselves with the everyday use of mathematics in life. This exam has been divided into two-level. Students who qualify IMO level 1 get eligible for level 2 IMO olympiad.

SOF IMO Eligibility Criteria
There are a few basic requirements that students have to fulfill to appear for the SOF mathematics olympiad exam. Here are the basic eligibility criteria for level 1 and level 2 International Mathematics Olympiad.
Criteria for Level 1
Criteria for giving an IMO level 1 exam are very easy. There are no minimum marks criteria applicable on level 1. Besides,
- The student must be allied from a school affiliated with any recognized education board in India like CBSE, ICSE, etc.
- Students must belong to classes from 1 to 12.
Criteria for Level 2
IMO level 2 is conducted only for classes 3 to 12. Eligibility criteria for IMO level 2 exams are,
- The student must be a topper of the class with at least 10 participants from the same class.
- Students must be in the top 25 rank holders from each zone and each class.
- The student must be in the top 5% class-wise.
SOF IMO Registration Process
Students have to fill out the IMO registration form through the official website of SOF. Generally, respected schools fill out the form of students. Schools have to register at least five students to participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad exam.
If a student registers as an individual participant, roll numbers and guidelines are sent directly to students on their registered number.

International Mathematics Olympiad Registration fee
Students have to submit a registration fee of INR 125*(including GST) to SOF before the IMO exam date. Students who have any major disability do not have to pay any participation fee to SOF. However, the school may take additional fees of 25 as an honor of the teacher who will guide students in this exam.
SOF IMO Admit Card
The International Mathematics Olympiad admit card will be available at the official site of SOF. Generally, the school coordinators provide IMO admit cards to the students. Students can still download them on their own from the SOF website using the details like roll number obtained during the SOF registration.

SOF IMO Syllabus
The main focus of the International Mathematics Olympiad is the Mathematics skills of a student. Thus the IMO syllabus is also completely based on the basic daily use of mathematics and mathematics Analysis. They have divided it into four sections below.
- Section 1 contains questions related to patterns, classifications, analogies, etc., whereas, for class 5, the questions are related to verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
- Section 2 is the mathematical reasoning section. Students get the question that is completely based on the topics relevant to their school curriculum.
- Section 3 is based on everyday mathematics.
- Section 4 is the achiever's section. It covers section 2, but the level of questions is a bit higher than section 2.

SOF IMO Results
SOF publishes the results of the International Mathematics Olympiad every year on its official website. Students have to be in constant touch with the website to keep track of their IMO exam results. They have to enter the following details to view their SOF mathematics olympiad results,

Students are awarded based on their international, state, and school ranking in SOF International Mathematical Olympiad. SOF prizes for securing a rank in this olympiad include cash awards, medals, gifts, certificates, etc. The international toppers from each class are awarded a grand prize from a special guest in Delhi.

SOF IMO 2023 Cut Off
There are two levels to the International Mathematics Olympiad. Results of level 1 decide whether the student is eligible for level 2 or not. International Mathematics Olympiad cutoff marks according to the respective section, are given in the table below.
