The number of internships you do during your college time is totally up to you. Professors can guide you to get an idea about the internships that will help you in the future. I myself did 2 internships during those 4 years. Regarding placements, most of the companies that attend for campus placements are from IT backgrounds. But there is a wide variety of roles that you can choose from. During my final year there were only 8-10 Core companies that came in for hiring. The average salary is around 3 to 3.5L per year. The highest salary during our batch is 20L. Every year, around 70% of the batch will get placed.
There are 3 hostels for boys & 2 hostels for girls. All 5 are in-campus hostels. There is one Boys hostel available outside the college. In-campus hostels are good. I've no idea about the hostel outside the campus. Hostel fee was 1L per year during our stay. There are a number of PGs available around campus at an average of 6k per month. Food in the hostel is OKAY. There are 4 canteens inside the campus where you can get amazing food. Quality of classrooms are good, Labs are well equipped. The library has all the books you need. Wi-Fi is provided for the students staying at hostels.
There are two types of admissions. Admission through the State level Common Entrance Test (CET) & Managament category. However, you need a minimum level of academic eligibility to go through any admission process. You should have cleared the 2nd PUC or equivalent degree with English as one of the languages. You should've scored a minimum of 45% in Physics & Maths. For candidates with reservations, the minimum percentage is 40%. I got my admission through the management category as I did my PU from another state & uneligible for CET. Admission in a branch of your choice totally depends on your score in CET & seat availability.
Daily routine is the same for almost every branch. Classes start at 9 in the morning & end at 4 in the evening. Assignments are mandatory. You need to do some mini projects during the first 3 years & main project in your final semester. There are 3 internals in each semester & 1 Semester exam at the end of each semester. The quality of teaching is TOP CLASS. My overall experience is good. A great college to do your Bachelor of Engineering (B.E).
New Horizon College of Engineering, [NHCE] Bangalore fee structure: there are two types of courses in each branch you can choose from. Professional & Global. In 2015 fee for a Professional course was 1.85L per year & for Global it was around 2L. Scholarships are available for students who got selected through CET & for candidates with reservations. 25-30% of my class got scholarships. You can get bank loans if you need to. I'm not sure about the types of loans & banks offering them. You can inquire about them at the General Enquiry area.
There are a number of Clubs & Student societies you can choose from. They'll be conducting events all around the year. Apart from the events counducted by the student clubs, there are several events conducted by the college management too. SARGAM is a famous event in & around Bangalore counducted by our college. I had an amazing college life.
