There are internships and placements available in the college. Alumni network here is awesome.
There is a boys hostel on the campus. Hostels for girls are present around the college but not directly associated with the college itself. Food is reasonable, plenty of choice, good service. Being a heritage building, classrooms are straight from a 70's movie and have an old world charm to it.
Adequate board exams percentage is the criteria for admission to St Xavier's bachelor of science. Typically the percentage should be above 85% as this is a top rated University and picks only the creme de la creme of students across India as well as abroad.
Classes usually begin at around 8 am and end with a practical session at around 3 pm. Quality of education and output of the faculty is top notch.
The course fees are around INR 5000 for pure Science which is very low for a college of this prestige.
The plethora of clubs and associations are present, lots of opportunities for students. The college hosts the largest number of fests probably any college will host but every fest runs one after the other like clockwork.
