Placements are quite rare for the science departments since most students go for Masters. One can try into different companies like Biocon with good scores.
There are 2 hostels. One for boys and one for girls. And the average hostel fee is around INR 8000 per month. The PGs around the college cost almost the same with a greater degree of freedom for students. College food is average. It's is quite cheap so based on that it's good enough. Classrooms are well kept and library is quite big. There is no wifi but we do really require it.
It is quite easy to get into the college. I went for admissions after my results for 12th boards were out. They only asked me at the beginning about how much I scored. I scored 80% so it wasn't a problem for me, but I have also seen students get into the college with percentage in the 50s. One has to pay in the college or send a DD for admission procedure. Quite easy to be honest.
Classes are very well managed. They generally start at 9:30 in the morning and end at around 4. Every semester, each subject can have 1-2 assignments but not more than that. And most subject teachers make students perform seminars for internal marks. Internal exams are also carried out at least twice a semester. Some teachers are quite good at teaching while others aren't. Most teachers make sure that the students are doing good in everything regarding the subjects. Sometimes teachers might be a little strict but it is sometimes necessary. Helps students be on track.
I am paying INR 40000 every year which is quite cheap for colleges nowadays. Scholarships are not available directly from college but one can always apply for scholarships offered by different companies and funds.
Students have an eco club, nss and there is the student council. If the student is enthusiastic enough, there are a lot of opportunities. There are random cultural and educational fests going on all year round.
