CMR has a program called Internship and job drive program under which the students class wise are given training as to how the corporation is, that is how it is in a company and how to present oneself in front of the HR, this training is for a week after which we are given the opportunities to interview with the HR of different companies. The stipend is dependent on the company and the position the person gets, maximum being INR 10,000 per month.
some of the key companies that come every year for campus hiring and their presence is guarenteed is Infosys, Google, HDFC, Deutsche Bank. There are other companies that come as well but their presence every year is not guaranteed. The salary figures depend on the company and the position that one gets, there is 100% placement.
The college does not have a football ground but does have a basketball court, the WIFI is fairly good but gets slow if too much traffic is present. each building has its own WIFI, including the library. The library has all the academic books required for all the courses and the students may borrow them home if required, there is a canteen where the students can hang out and pass time, the rates of the items in the canteen are fairly good, ranging from 10 rupees to 90 or even 100 rupees. The food is of good quality and very tasty.
The college has its own hostels and food and other basic needs are taken care off in the hostel. The classrooms are neat and clean and all are equipped with smart class features. The college has two AV halls where seminars and guest lectures take place if any.
The eligibility criteria are dependent on the student's percentage, there will be an interview taken and if they feel the student is a fit then they are taken in. The cut off percentage is 65% as of last year, people above 65% get direct admissions on the interview going well and students below will have to wait for the list to come out which is the usual 1st, 2nd, and 3rd list. There is no typical cut off for the courses, the percentage is considered in general for all the sources.
The college has a mixed crowd, there are people that are very studious to students that are interested just in sports. The college is not as big as compared to other colleges, but it is an enjoyable and fun experience. The teachers are friendly and ensure that a student is made to feel welcome in the college they also ensure that there is no bullying.
The quality of teaching is fairly good, the teachers do their best in order to ensure that the students understand the concepts and subject. They also take the time to explain to students after classes several times the same concept if asked. The overall experience is a nice and fun experience.
The course is dependent on the percentage one scores. The higher the percentage the lower the fee per year, for a percentage of 78%. INR 80,000 per year is the fee, plus INR 5000 for a uniform for students pursuing BBA. There are plenty of scholarships options given to the students and the number of students that get the scholarship depends on the number of people applied for the scholarship and the performance of the student, not every student gets the scholarship. Loans can be taken if needed to pay the fee.
