The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India provides campus placements to pass-out CA's. Students get placed in top MNC's like Deloitte, KPMG E&Y, PWC, all these big 4 Companies and Airtel, Flipkart, etc. Average package is INR 7lakhs per annum. And you can choose to work in small and medium companies as well, whereas the stipend will be less compared to big 4 companies.
Institute doesn't provide any hostel facilities, so we have to stay in private hostels and pgs, which is a drawback for students who don't know much about the city.
Any student who has passed 10th class or any course equivalent, they can apply for the Common Proficiency Test Course (CPT) first. After qualifying for the 10+2 exam, a student has to qualify for CPT exam. Eligibility for taking the Integrated Professional Competence Course Examination Before taking the Integrated Professional Competence Examination, the candidate must have qualified CPT. In CPT, it is objective type questions and for the total of 200 marks, you have to get 50 percent pass marks.
It's a challenging course which doesn't follow regular teaching method but only practical training. The three years of article ship is the most interesting part of this course. There is a great demand for Chartered accountants nowadays. Because every company needs a CA.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants provides scholarships for merit and poor students. As of now, loans are not needed except the student is in very poor condition. Because the institute is taking very fewer fees compared to other courses in the present situation. The total fees will be less than INR 60000 to INR 70000 throughout the full duration of course.
No student societies and clubs etc are there at ICAI. The main festivals on the campus are Pongal, Diwali, and Dussehra. College life is very much professional.
