I was placed in VMware (Bangalore) in 2018 through campus placements. The role was of a technical support engineer and the package that was offered was 8-9 LPA. There were other companies who visited the campus with a higher package as well. You will mostly see support roles, analyst roles or coding jobs. 

There are a total of 5 hostels in the college campus itself. (this was when I was studying there, 2014-18). 2 of these are girls hostel and the other 3 are boys hostel. 

Since the location of the college is small on the outskirts of the city, most students try to get a room in the hostel. If not, there are few apartments near college where you can stay. 

However if you are new, I would recommend to stay in the hostel at least for the first year so you get a hang of the place first. The food, wifi, and all other facilities in the college are on point. 

CEC, Mohali is a private college where you can get in once you have passed your 12th board exam. For admissions, if you want to get in here, you have to book a seat for yourself because the slots fill up fast. If you have heard about Chandigarh Engineering college, you know that the college promises placement to students in their last year.

The day starts at 9:15 and ends at 4:30 with a 1 hour lunch break in between. You would have regular classes everyday with timely assignments to keep students on their toes. The faculty is very helpful. The exams are conducted under strict supervision and are fair. 

Not sure on scholarships. 

Chandigarh engineering College, [CEC] Mohali Fee Structure. Fees of Chandigarh engineering College, [CEC] Mohali is INR 6 lakh for the entire course. The mentioned figure is excluding the hostel fee (if you opt to stay in a hostel).

There were no societies as such in the college, however if there was any event coming up then there would be a team who would come together to conduct that properly.

Life in general in college was great. For girls, there was a deadline as to which you should be back in the hostel. Overall, my experience was great and I had fun!!!
