Agneepath Recruitment 2024: The Agneepath Scheme is a newly launched project to hire young and passionate Indians in the Armed Forces. The Government of India launched the scheme on June 14, 2022. Under this project, the selected candidates will be hired for a new post called ‘Agniveers.’
The Agniveers will be working in the Indian Army for four years. The initiative has been taken by the Government of India to ensure the youthfulness of our armies.
The recruitment of the soldiers will be below the rank of the commissioned officers into the three services of the armed forces. Through this scheme, every year, around 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited for the service term, either in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force.

The Government of India is working actively on the Agniveers recruitment. The scheme was launched recently on June 14, 2022, and the Indian Armed Forces have released the recruitment notices too. Agneepath Agniveers Vacancy 2024
The Indian Armed Forces have released the recruitment notice for the Agniveer post. All the interested and eligible candidates can now start applying for the same till the last date, i.e., July 05, 2022. The number of available posts has not been mentioned in the official notification.
Since the scheme is to recruit more than 45,000 soldiers, the number of vacant seats has not been mentioned. All eligible candidates will be allowed to sit for the first phase of the exam.
Agneepath Recruitment 2024 Salary
Since the recruitment of the Agniveers is for a tenure of four years, the soldiers will be receiving the pay every year with an increment. In addition, the candidates will also receive an additional package through the Seva Nidhi Package at the end of their tenure. The detailed salary structure for the Agniveers is shared in the table below:

Agneepath Recruitment Exam 2024 Selection Process
The selection process of the Agniveers is divided into the following rounds:
- Phase- I (Written Exam)
- Phase- II (Physical Fitness Test)
- Phase- III (Medical Test)
- Phase- IV (Document Verification)
The selection process will likely remain the same for all the categories, i.e., Indian Armed Forces, Indian Navy, and Indian Army. The IAF has released this selection process and, as per sources, will remain the same for the other two boards as well. The detailed process for all the stages is explained in the tables below.
Phase- I (Online Test)
The details of the first round for the Agneepath Recruitment 2024 Exam are as follows:
- It will have objective-type questions.
- The exam duration varies for each subject type.
- Each question comprises of 01 mark.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
- No marks will be deducted for an unattempted answer.

- Candidates declared medically unfit can avail of the option for ‘Appeal Medical Board’ (AMB) against their unfitness by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through a Military Receivable Order (MRO).
- Candidates are advised to get tartar and stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the Medical Examination.
- Ears should be free of wax.
Agneepath 2024 Recruitment Eligibility
Agniveers will also have to pass certain selection processes to serve the post. The eligibility criteria include the educational qualification and the age limit for the post. In addition, there is a set Body Mass Index for the candidates to apply for the post. All aspirants who fit the requirements become eligible to apply for the Agniveer post. The upper age limit for the Agniveer post has been increased. Earlier it was 21 years. The latest data for the age limit is as follows:
