Located in Heslington, The University of York (UoY) came into existence in 1963. Eligibility Criteria for International Students
The University of York offers more than 300 postgraduate courses to its students every year. For PG courses such as MSc, PGCE, MA, PG Cert, PG Dip, etc., applicants must have a degree equivalent to a UK upper second class honors degree (2:1). However, for some of the courses, the lower second-class honors degrees are also accepted (2:2). The following are the requirements for postgraduate admissions.

The University of York offers undergraduate courses in the fall intake, and the PG taught programs in the Fall and Spring intakes. For undergraduate admissions, the deadlines decided by the UCAS portal are taken into consideration by UoY. The deadline has been extended to 29th January, 2022 (Closed) from 15th January 2022 for UG courses. The deadline for late submission of undergraduate applications is 30th June 2022, in case seats are vacant. Research-related courses do not have fixed deadlines, whereas PG taught courses to have different deadlines according to the course chosen by the student.
