Bethany Lutheran College Admission Requirement

Bethany Lutheran College has over 24 majors, 25 minors, and 9 pre-professional programs to choose from. Business, media, arts, engineering, computer science, biology, and chemistry are among the most popular majors. Several programs have a rotating admissions process. The TOEFL, IELTS, STEP-Eiken, and Duolingo tests are accepted as proof of English language proficiency at Bethany Lutheran College. When considering applicants, GPAs are given top consideration.

Undergraduate Admission at Bethany Lutheran College

In total, 174 students were accepted into Bethany Lutheran College's undergraduate programs for the Fall 2018 semester. For undergraduate entrance, SAT/ACT scores are required. Students transferring from another college must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Admission Procedure of Bethany Lutheran College

Students receive a final decision via admission letter within 3-4 weeks after successful application submission. Admitted students at Bethany Lutheran college must follow the following procedure:

Before they arrive:

  • Contact the Registrar to make any necessary modifications to the academic schedule
  • MyBLC allows students to search for and purchase textbooks
  • Fill out the Student-Athlete forms (required for participation in NCAA Div III athletics)
  • Complete the Language Inventory Spanish or German placement exam
  • Examine the Student Handbook
  • For a trip to Bethany, get driving directions and maps
  • For announcements, check Bethany's e-mail account and the Daily Bulletin

When they arrive:

  • Check mail in the mailroom after getting the mailbox key from the Information Secretary in Old Main
  • The library can provide the student with a student ID
  • Glenda Bossow can provide with a key fob
  • Examine the menu plan
  • If students want to park on campus, they must first register their vehicle (which is free) and then purchase a parking permit
  • Connect the computer to the Bethany network

Acceptance Rate at Bethany Lutheran College

Bethany Lutheran College has a moderately good acceptance rate, with 78 percent of 497 undergraduate candidates for Fall 2018 being accepted. In the Fall of 2016, 83 percent of undergraduate students were accepted into the sophomore class of 2017.
