Over Chico's 300 undergraduate and graduate programs are available in the Fall and Spring semesters through 7 colleges, 5 schools, and 22 centers and institutes. The WASC Senior College and University Commission has granted its accreditation.
California State University, Chico requires Completion of a secondary/high school curriculum with a grade point average of 3.0 (B in the US system) or "Very Good". For entrance, the SAT/ACT is not necessary. Higher exam scores, on the other hand, may allow a candidate to be put in higher-level Math and/or English courses. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 in the last 60 semester credits and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the last 30 credits of coursework completed are required.
California State University, Chico has over 340 undergraduate majors and minors in fields such as agriculture, anthropology, art, biology, and many others. The programs in Undergraduate Education cover the entire student experience, from high school outreach to meaningful first-year learning in and out of the classroom, to faculty-mentored research and opportunities for professional development through peer mentoring, public event planning, and community-engaged educational research.
Eligibility Criteria for International Students
A candidate who has earned the equivalent of a four-year bachelor's degree in the United States and is seeking admission to a graduate or master's degree program. A four-year university degree comparable to a bachelor's degree in the United States is required. Must have a 2.75-grade point average in the last 60 semester credits and a 3.0-grade point average in the last 30 credits of coursework completed as an undergraduate (bachelor's degree level).
Eligibility Criteria for International Students
International students are accepted at California State University, Chico if they have completed high school with a grade point average of 3.0, given certified academic records, met all deadlines, and supplied proof of financial support for at least one academic year. Both international students wishing to study in the United States and domestic applicants must complete the same application. International applicants, on the other hand, have different admission requirements than domestic applicants.

Admission to California State University-Chico is less selective, with a 90% acceptance rate. An SAT score of 970 to 1170 or an ACT score of 18 to 24 is required for admission to California State University-Chico.
