Covenant College is a Christian liberal arts college dedicated to exploring and expressing Jesus Christ's supremacy in all things. It is a Christ-centered liberal arts college run by a Board of Trustees elected by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), with the mission of providing post-secondary educational services to the denomination and the general public.
Covenant College, which was founded in 1955 in Pasadena, California, needed to expand after only one year. It moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in a building donated by Catholic sisters, with the support of several professors. The facility grew in size and outgrew its facilities during the next eight years.

Decisions on prospective student applications are done twice a year on two distinct occasions. Early action (a non-binding status) applicants must submit their applications by November 15 and should expect a decision by December 15. Regular decision applicants should submit their applications by February 1 and expect a decision by March 1. After March 1, students can still apply to Covenant, but applications will be assessed on a rolling admissions basis. Accepted applicants will be placed on a waiting list once the entering class is full. All students accepted for the Fall semester must confirm their registration by May 1.
