Covenant College is a private Christian school that is accredited by both the Gauteng Department of Education and the Independent Examinations Board. Covenant College is accredited by UMALUSI and is a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). Covenant is a discipleship school that seeks to educate students from Christian homes and enrolls families who will follow the Bible's teachings on Christianity.

Covenant College Admission Requirement

Covenant College provides students with a comprehensive liberal arts education that prepares them to study and communicate Jesus Christ's supremacy in all things. In keeping with this mission, the average freshman has the following high school academic record: GPA requirements, testing requirements, including SAT and ACT requirements, application requirements

  • Unweighted GPA: 3.44 - 3.89
  • SAT (math + evidence-based reading & writing): 1130 - 1350; or
  • ACT composite: 24 - 30; or
  • CLT composite: 76 - 94

Undergraduate Admission at Covenant College

Covenant College begins processing students' application files as soon as they begin the online application process, depending on whether they choose an early action or a normal decision deadline. The institution provides login details after starting the application process so students can access the portal. Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  • International students should fill out the normal admissions application
  • Covenant encourages international students to take the SAT, ACT, or CLT
  • Students who do not speak English as a first language may take the TOEFL or IELTS instead of the SAT, ACT, or CLT. For the TOEFL, a minimum total score of 577 (paper-based), 233 (computer-based), or 90 (Internet-based) is required, and for the IELTS, a minimum score of 7 is required
  • International students must additionally submit a copy of their passport's biographical page
  • As the student's application components are gathered, the admissions office may request further information, such as a summary or description of educational experience or other supplementary components

Graduate Admission at Covenant College

The Graduate School of Education at Covenant College offers two graduate programs: a Masters of Education (MEd) that focuses on two areas: Educational Leadership and Integrated Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT).

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required for international students whose native language is not English
  • A minimum score of 577 (paper-based exam) or 233 (computer-based exam) or 90 (internet-based exam) is required for the TOEFL, and

Covenant College Application Process for International Students

To attend Covenant College, international students must apply for a student visa in the United States. The I- 20 form is given to the selected applicants. Applicants must submit the following documents to obtain the I- 20 form:

  • Applicants must pay the SEVIS I- 901 fees after completing the I-20
  • Fill out the DS-160 visa application to apply for a visa
