Southeast Regional College is one of the nine Saskatchewan colleges. The dedicated College staff worked closely with communities to establish the backbone of the Southeast Regional College system. South East Region Community College was renamed Southeast Regional College in 1987.
In 1990, Southeast Regional established the Energy Training Institute to meet the needs of the energy industry. It serves the needs of 70 communities across southeast Saskatchewan. is a public-funded institute. It educates around 8,000 learners and every year graduates around 5,000 students. Southeast Regional has an interactive alumni network.
Southeast Regional College was originally established in 1975 as a South East Region community College. It was raised with the spirit of corporation and community development.
Southeast Regional College is located in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. The campus is spread in an area of over 20,000 square kilometers.
Southeast Regional College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1983. It is also accredited by the Ministry of Education.
Southeast Regional College operates in six communities Assiniboia, Estevan, Indian Head, Moosomin, Weyburn, and Whitewood. Southeast Regional is in partnership with post-secondary institutes. It delivers a variety of career, vocational, and academic programming courses to meet the educational and academic demands. Southeast Regional College also offers various numerous business, safety, and industrial programs.
