- Students declared as ‘Essential Repeat’ in 2024.

CBSE class 12 students whose results fall into the category of 'Essential Repeat' in 2024 are eligible to fill out the CBSE private candidate form. Additionally, students who fall under the following categories can fill out the form and appear for the test for class 12.

Category 1: Fail/Compartment/ Repeat/Improvement
Students falling under the category of 'Fail/Compartment/Repeat/Improvement' have to enter their roll number, and centre number, and follow all the required instructions mentioned in the pointers below.
- For students who appeared for their board exams in 2024, the system will generate their details automatically.
- Students who took the exams in 2023 or earlier need to fill in all the necessary details in the CBSE private candidate form.
- Candidates must ensure they enter relevant details carefully, like the roll number, centre number, etc.
- The project/practical/internal assessment scores obtained by the student in the 2024 exams will be carried forward. For years before 2024, the authorities will award pro rata marks in the respective sections.
Category 2: New Female Candidates/ Physically Handicapped
Students falling under the category of 'New Female Candidates/Physically Handicapped' have to choose the subjects from the drop-down menu and follow all the required instructions mentioned in the pointers below.
- Students must choose subjects only from the drop-down menu.
- The calculation of scores obtained in theory for subjects with an internal assessment component will be out of 100. These marks will be added to the marks attained in the theory component.
Category 3: Additional Subjects
Students appearing for the category of 'Additional Subjects' have to choose any one subject that they did not opt for earlier and follow all the required instructions mentioned in the pointers below.
- Students can choose any one subject that they did not take earlier.
- The authorities will calculate the marks secured in theory out of 100 for subjects having an internal evaluation component. Further, they will add these marks to the marks obtained in theory.
