SGBAU Evaluation Criteria 2025

• The university uses a Credit Based Semester System (CBSS) to assess students.
• Under CBSS, the highest mark for every subject in a degree program is 100.
• The maximum mark for every theory practical paper is 80.
• The internal assessment carries 20 marks. This component measures students' performance through unit tests, assignments, attendance, and seminars.
• Students must secure at least 40% to pass each paper. Moreover, passing marks must be obtained individually for theory, internal assessment, and practical.
• Based on their marks, candidates are given letter grades- O, A, B, C, D, E, and F. The ‘O’ grade is an indicator of outstanding performance, while the ‘F’ grade denotes failure.
