Tie-Breaking Policy for Tamil Nadu Polytechnic 2023 Admission
There might be a situation where two or more students get the same grades or marks in the qualifying examination. For such cases, the authorities shall break the tie and decide the candidate’s rank based on the following criteria:
- Students achieving higher scores in Mathematics will get higher ranks.
- If the tie continues, students securing more marks in Science will achieve a better rank.
- In case the tie exists, candidates obtaining better total scores in Mathematics & English shall get higher ranks.
- If the tie still does not break, those candidates who have attained higher total scores in Science & English will obtain higher ranks.
- Lastly, if the tie persists, the older candidate shall be given a better rank.
