TANCET Rank List 2023 are the displays at which position the admissions are offered in the participating institutions affiliated with Anna University for various master’s programs like ME, MTech,MBA, MCA, M.Arch and M.Plan.
TANCET Rank List 2023 have been published on the official website for MBA and MCA programs on July 14, 2023. TANCET counselling 2023 for MBA is set to begin on July 29, 2023, and for MCA on July 23, 2023.
Further, all three types of TANCET rank list i.e., from the GATE category, TANCET category-wise, and Sponsored category-wise are prepared by the governing body. Candidates can log in using their login credentials through the official portal to check and download the TANCET 2023 rank list PDF released by the conducting body.

Types of TANCET Rank List 2023
Below are the three different types of TANCET Rank List 2023 based on which the rank list will be prepared for the candidates who appeared in the exam.
GATE Category Rank List
- Engineering/Technology: The GATE qualifying score in an appropriate subject will be used to create a rank list for candidates.
- Engineering Science XE, Life Science XL: The rank list for Engineering Science (XE), Life Science (XL) candidates will be created using the GATE qualifying score in the Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers and TANCET 2023 with a weighting of 70:30, respectively.
- In preparation for GATE (Engineering/Technology) and GATE, a CML (Common Rank List) is created.
TANCET Category-Wise Rank List
- TANCET Category-Wise Rank List is prepared based on the marks secured by candidates in TANCET 2023 examination.
Sponsored Category-Wise Rank List
- Candidates working for and sponsored by government agencies, academic institutions receiving government funding, and registered professional architects with at least five years of experience are all eligible for a small number of seats.
- The ranking list is created using the TANCET 2023 results. Only the University Departments of Anna University, Chennai, would accept applicants.
- The University Departments of Anna University and the School of Planning and Architecture will evaluate applicants for admission to the M.Arch program under the supported category if they have at least 5 years of professional experience.

TANCET Tie-Breaking Criteria
If there is a tie between two or more applicants, DTE uses the following procedure to break it:
- Candidates who scored higher on average in the qualifying degree examination from the first semester/year to N-1 semesters/years, where N is the overall number of qualifying examination semesters/years.
- The SSLC certificate's date of birth will be used to determine which applicant is older.

TANCET Counselling Procedure
Once the TANCET 2023 MBA Rank List is out on the official website, Anna University will conduct the counselling procedure based on the ranks obtained by the candidates.
- After the results are announced, the MBA and MCA counselling procedures will begin.
- Candidates can participate in the counselling process, and based on their cutoff scores and the available seats in the specified institutions, seats will be assigned.
- Each candidate may choose only one program for that year, and the application procedure must follow the state of Tamil Nadu's reservation policies.

TANCET Admission Process
