UPTAC Counselling 2024 registration for the special round will begin on Sep 07, 2024. The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling 2024 is conducted for admission into BTech courses in various engineering colleges based on the candidate’s JEE Main scores. UPTAC counselling 2024 choice filling for the special round will be conducted between Sep 08-10, 2024, on the official website of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (APJAKTU).

During the UPTAC choice-filling process, candidates can lock their institution preferences for the seat allotment process. The admissions are offered based on the merit score obtained by the candidates on the previous qualifying examination or JEE Main. This year a total of 87,389 seats are available across all colleges, courses, categories and quotas under the UPTAC counselling 2024 for B.Tech, and B.Arch courses.

UPTAC Counselling Registration

The UPTAC counselling process 2024 includes registration, document verification, counselling fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting to the allotted institutions. The counselling registration started on Jun 11 - Jul 10, 2024. The authorities will also be conducting a special round of UPTAC counselling from Sep 07, 2024, where candidates who were not allocated seats in the previous rounds can appear for admission.

UPTAC Choice Filling 2024

UPTAC special round choice filling date is released by the authorities and is scheduled to be conducted on Sep 08-10, 2024. The UPTAC Counselling special round seat allotment result will be released on Sep 11, 2024

Students can visit the UPTAC official website to lock in their preference of institution for the seat allotment process. During the counselling session, the candidate must bring two separate account payee bank drafts of INR 1000 as a counselling fee and a bank draft of INR 5,000 as an advance fee respectively in favour of the Finance Officer, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, payable at Lucknow.

Documents Required for UPTAC Counselling 2024

Candidates must submit the original hard copy of the below-mentioned documents during the verification process. Without the original documents candidate will not be allowed to appear for the UPTAC counselling 2024:

UPTAC Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The UPTAC counselling process requires the candidate to fulfil certain requirements to participate in the counselling session. Given below are the UPTAC counselling process eligibility criteria:

• The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from any of the educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh or the parent of the applicant must have a domicile in UP
• If the candidate has not passed the qualifying examination in UP, the parent’s domicile certificate must be submitted during the counselling process
• Candidates must have a valid JEE Main 2024 score. 
• There is no age limit

UPTAC Seat Allotment 2024

The UPTAC seat allotment process will be done based on the merit score of the candidate in the previous qualifying examination or JEE Main scores. The seats are allotted based on the choice-filling preferences locked by the student.

The authorities will decide on the seat allotment based on factors like merit score, choice filled, number of applicants, availability of seats, etc. Candidates can log in to the official website to check their seat allotment results and have the option to freeze or float their fees. 

The candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee if they are satisfied with the seat allotment and can report to the respective institution for the admission process.
