Section-Wise Analysis of XAT 2019 Question Paper
Here we will provide a section-wise analysis of the XAT 2019 question paper. It will help you understand the question types, difficulty level, topic-wise weightage, etc.
Verbal and Logical Ability
The verbal and Logical Ability section of the XAT 2019 question paper was lengthy. Reading Comprehension questions dominated the section. There were 4 RC passages with three questions each. Also, it included a poem with two questions.
The questions based on the poem were difficult, as claimed by the test-takers.
Besides, some of the critical reasoning and fill in the blank questions were tricky. However, two of the para-jumble questions were easy to attempt. Hence, 16 to 18 attempts with 70% accuracy helped candidates get a good score.

Decision-making and Analytical Reasoning
The DM section of the XAT 2019 questions paper was moderately difficult. A total of 21 questions were present within three caselets. There were 18 questions in this section related to situational Decision making.
The Analytical Reasoning part had questions based on sequencing. Mathematical Reasoning questions were not present in the paper.

Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
This section of the XAT 2019 question paper was more challenging than the previous year’s paper. It involved 2 DI sets consisting of a total of six questions. One of these sets included a few ambiguous questions.
Moreover, 21 questions were from Quantitative Ability. Geometry and Algebra questions dominated the section. It was challenging for students to solve the geometry-based questions. However, questions from Arithmetic were easy in nature.
Some questions related to coordinate geometry and trigonometry were also present.

General Knowledge
The GK section of the XAT 2019 exam had a moderate level of difficulty. There were 25 questions present in this section. Most of these questions were from static GK (geography, economy, science & technology).
Other questions were based on current affairs (personalities, sports, awards, and business economy).
