JEE Main Paper Analysis 2023: The NTA conducted the JEE Main 2023 session 1, Jan 30 shift 1 exam from 9 AM to 12 noon. This is the fifth day of the session one exam, which is being conducted in CBT mode at exam centres spread across various cities in India. The JEE Main Question Paper 2023 is divided into 3 sections - each for one subject, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry - with equal weightage. Every section further consists of two subsections - A and B, the former containing 20 MCQs and the latter, 10 questions whose answers are to be given as a numerical value. By answering a question correctly, candidates will earn four marks, and answering a question incorrectly will result in 1 mark being deducted.

JEE Main 2023 Jan 30 Shift 1: Student Reactions
The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Jan 30 Shift 1 exam has been concluded. Some major highlights of the exam based on student's reactions are given below:
- The question paper was considered moderately difficult overall
- The mathematics section was difficult and several questions in the NAT section had tricky calculations
- Many NAT questions in the chemistry section was from the physical chemistry topics
- Questions that appeared from the organic and inorganic chemistry topics were easy
- Physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry topics has maximum weightage
- The difficulty level of the physics section was moderate, although slightly more difficult than previous shifts
- Most questions in the chemistry section was concept based, instead of being directly from NCERT textbooks
- All the topics in the physics section got equal weightage
- While only 10% questions were concept based, 90% were formula based
