Confirmation Options for TNEA Counselling 2022 Seat Allotment
Once the candidate has checked their TNEA Counselling 2022 Round 1 seat allotment result, they can perform one of the following options.
- Accept and Join: If the candidates are satisfied with the seat allotment, they may select the ‘Accept and Join’ option and download the provisional allotment letter. Then they must report to the allotted college for admission. However, if a candidate fails to report to the allotted college within the stipulated period, their seat shall be cancelled and deemed ineligible for subsequent rounds.
- Accept and Upward: If the candidates want to retain their seat but also want to go for higher options, they should select the ‘Accept and Upward’ option. If a higher option is not allocated, they will have to confirm the current allocation.
- Decline and Upward: If the candidate is unsatisfied with their allotted seat, they may decline the allotment offer and wait for higher choices by selecting the ‘Decline and Upward’ option. If the candidate is assigned their higher preference seat, they will be moved to the next round. Importantly, the candidate will not have a claim to the current allocation.
- Decline and Move to the Next Round: If the candidate is unsatisfied with the current allocation but does not wish upward movement in the current round, they can select the ‘Decline and Move to Next Round’ option. Once the candidates are moved to the next round, they will have no claim to the current seat allocation.
- Decline and Quit: If the candidate is unsatisfied with the allocation and does not wish to participate in the succeeding round of counselling, they may select the ‘Decline and Quit’ option. On choosing this option, they will be excluded from the counselling process.
- Upward or Move to Next Round: If the candidate has not been allotted a seat in this round, they will see this option. Candidates may then be allotted a seat due to the upward movement; if not, the candidates will be moved to the next round.
