Types of Seats Offered Through AP ICET 2024

2. Category B
This category includes 30% of the sanctioned seats offered through the AP ICET exam for MBA admissions. Admissions under this category include quota-based admissions such as management quotas, NRI quotas, and supernumerary quotas.

Processing Fee for AP ICET 2024 Category B Admission
Candidates seeking admission to AP ICET under category B must apply using a web portal set up by the individual colleges and institutes. Instructions for Management Quota Admission through AP ICET 2024
Admission to category B seats offered through AP ICET is meant to be regulated by the following set of norms and regulations established by the appropriate body. Candidates must be aware of these guidelines before applying for management quota or any other quota-based admission via AP ICET. The key guidelines for management quota admission via AP ICET are as follows:
- The institute would ease admission to Category B and NRI quota seats using a web portal.
- NRI candidates who achieved at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5 out of 10 are eligible for NRI quota seats.
- After the NRI quota seats are filled, the remaining seats will be given based on merit under the A.P. Presidential Order 1974 to candidates who have obtained a rank in any All India Common Entrance Test for the program and have at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
- If any seats remain vacant, they will be assigned to eligible candidates who qualified for the AP ICET exam based on merit.
- If any seats remain vacant, they will be filled based on merit by candidates who obtained at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in the stipulated group of topics in the qualifying examination (10+2+3 or equivalent).
- If any other vacant seats are still left they shall be filled as per the instructions issued by the authority.
