CA Inter direct entry 2023 allows candidates to take admission into the CA Intermediate course without clearing the CA Foundation exam. Candidates who have completed their graduation/post graduation or are currently in their final year of graduation are eligible to apply for CA Inter direct entry.

CA Inter direct entry 2023 scheme is an alternative route for candidates who have completed their graduation to enrol into the CA Intermediate course without taking the CA Foundation course. 

If a candidate satisfies the eligibility criteria for CA Inter direct entry scheme, they must apply and apply for an aptitude test. After clearing the aptitude test, candidates will be admitted to the CA Intermediate course.

CA Intermediate Direct Entry Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates must satisfy basic eligibility to enrol for the Intermediate course through CA Inter direct entry 2023 scheme. Given below are the eligibility criteria candidates must check before filling out the CA Inter direct entry 2023 application form:

• Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a Commerce background with at least 55% marks.
• Candidates belonging to Science or any other stream must have completed the graduation degree with at least 60% marks.
• Interested candidates who have passed CMA Intermediate or CS Executive exam are also eligible to apply for CA Inter Direct entry scheme.

How to Register for CA Inter Direct Entry 2023?

Candidates in their final year of graduation are provisionally eligible to register for the intermediate course through CA Inter direct entry 2023 and commence their articleship. However, proof of passing the graduation exam must be provided within six months of appearing in the graduation examination and completing articleship training.

1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on the “Students Services” link under "E-Services" tab on the homepage.
3. After that, click on the "Entry level forms (Foundation and Intermediate (Direct Entry)" link
4. Read all the instructions carefully and enter the details required to register.
5. Then, click on the “Generate OTP” button.
6. Enter OTP received on your registered mobile number and Email address.
7. Login using your credentials and proceed with the filling of the application form.
8. Upload all the required documents and submit the registration fee.
9. Finally, submit the form and download the registration receipt for future reference.

What are the CA Inter Direct Entry Articleship Rules?

Candidates appearing for the CA Intermediate exam must complete 9 months of mandatory CA articleship training anytime after CA Inter direct entry 2023 registration. Some of the CA Inter direct entry articleship rules are as follows:

• Candidates must have registered for both groups of CA intermediate at ICAI.
• Registered candidates must complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT) at any ICAI branch before commencing the articleship.
• The article assistant must work 35 hours a week, excluding lunch breaks.
• The office hours for articleship training must be between 11 AM and 7 PM. 
• The average working hours of articleship should not exceed 35 hours per week.
• Article assistants are not allowed to join any classes or coaching during the entire span of the articleship.
