- Tenses: Tenses describe the nature of time and its usage in the English language. It is categorized into present, past, and future and is individually categorized under four sections, namely:
- Simple Present tense/Simple past tense/Simple future tense
- Present continuous/past continuous/future continuous
- Present perfect/past perfect/future perfect
- Present perfect continuous/past perfect continuous/future perfect continuous

Modals: Modals modify verbs, and it can be done suitably only if the students comprehend the significance of tenses. There are many modal verbs but there are specifically fourteen common modals which will be taught as per CBSE class 10th English grammar syllabus - may/might/can/could/shall/will/should/ought to/must/need/dare/have to/ used to/

Subject-verb concord: This chapter explains how the subject of a sentence matches with the verbs as per the subject-verb agreement. The rules under the subject-verb agreement are as follows:
- Rule 1: There must be a match between the subject and the verb when a singular or plural reference is used.
- Rule 2: The number of a particular subject will not be able to alter the verb in case the phrases or words that come in between the verb and the subject have a plural or singular reference that doesn't match with the subject.
- Rule 3: Subjects that use 'and' will or either/or - neither/nor will have a plural verb.
- Rule 4: The neither/nor pair will agree to the noun or pronoun if it is closer to it.
There are seven more rules associated with the Subject-Verb Concord.

Reported speech: This chapter will discuss the difference between direct and reported speech.

Commands and requests: This chapter explains the different tones of speeches which range from request to order and so forth. It is an extension of the preceding chapter.

Statements: This chapter introduces a formal way of writing literature based on facts, opinions, or ideas. How statements are formed, developed, and interpreted is what this chapter teaches.

Questions: The title of this chapter sounds familiar and easy, but it is not that easy. The structure of questioning through the verb forms - auxiliary and principal is the chapter's prime focus.

Determiner: Different types of determiners will be taught in this chapter such as Articles, Quantifiers, Ordinals, Demonstratives, Possessives and Numbers.
