ITI offers a number of trade courses such as electrician, fitter, plumber, carpenter, draughtsman, computer operator and many others. Upon the completion of the trade courses, the candidates are given certificates by SCVT and NCVT. Enrollment in ITI trade courses makes the candidates industry ready in the specific trade.

Exam Pattern for ITI Courses 2024
The ITI exam consists of 2 papers and a trade practical exam. The theoretical part of the exam is conducted through a CBT or Computer Based Test. The practical exam is conducted offline. The theory paper consists of objective questions.
- Paper 1 consists of the particular Trade Theory and Employability Skills. Total weightage of Paper 1 is 200 marks, with the Trade Theory consisting of 150 marks and Employability Skills carrying 50 marks. A total of 20 marks is added by the college in the form of sessional marks.
- Paper 2 consists of science paper and an engineering drawing workshop. Total weightage of Paper 2 is 150 marks. Out of this 75 marks are allotted for workshop and Engineering Drawing carries 75 marks. A total of 30 marks is added by the college in the form of sessional marks.
- The passing marks for the Trade Theory Paper is 37.5 out of 150 marks. The passing marks for Employability Skills is 12.5 out of 50 marks. However, the minimum marks to be secured in Paper 1 is 88 adding the sessional marks in order to be considered ‘passed’.
- The passing marks for Paper 2 is 72 marks.
- The Practical exam has a total of 300 marks, which includes 30 marks (sessional) added by the college.The pass mark for practical is 180.
