Dawson College, College of General Education and Technology (CEGEP), founded in 1968, is the only education available in the province of Quebec. The college offers a two-year pre-university program and a three-year career program.
The need for college admission is to successfully complete a Quebec Diploma for Secondary Studies or its equivalent from another country. It offers student placements in 7 pre-university programs, including health sciences, pure and applied sciences, environmental sciences, social sciences, literature and communication arts, visual arts, and free arts.
Dawson College currently offers 21 career-oriented programs and the duration of these programs is 3 years. Each career-oriented program is designed to improve student employment. Students must have a DES (Diploma in Secondary Studies) or similar academic background for all study programs offered at Dawson College
Eligibility Criteria for International Students:
Applicants must have completed higher education outside of Canada. Official proof of equality from the Ministry of Application and Immigration, Diversification and Integration, MIDI - formerly MICC Or, pay a non-refundable 50 CAD fee for their high school written test, marks, and diploma. Applicants attending any college or university must declare this in their application. Their official documents should also be sent to the university through the registrar of the institution where they studied.

Dawson College has specific guidelines for the admission of foreign applicants. The college invites applications for the autumn and winter seasons, and admission is not open to everyone.

The college has a special status portal where applicants can monitor their applications. Admission is decided by the College Admissions Office. Applicants will receive an official post explaining the decision on their application. Approved applicants will send their letters of acceptance by post.
