Financial Aid and Scholarships at Fanshawe College

Fanshawe College provides financial support and advice to help the students in the form of awards, bursaries, scholarships, and grants as well as the work-study programs. Every year, Fanshawe College gives away $5 million in financial aid to the students. International students are eligible for entrance scholarships, in-course scholarships, and Study Abroad scholarships as well. The funding options available for international students at Fanshawe College are as follows:

International Entrance Scholarships

• International Degree Entrance Award: This award is open to all international students who have a valid study permit and are registered full-time in a Bachelor's degree program at Fanshawe College. Eligible students should be in the first semester (Level 1) of their degree program. After successful completion of Level 1 with a minimum GPA of 2.0, the students receive the award. 
• tbk's Women in Tech Scholarship: This one-time entrance scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved at least an 85% high school average and are enrolled full time in level one (first year) of the Interactive Media Design program at Fanshawe College. Special consideration will be given to students who have participated in at least one technology project or activity during their high school career.
• Women in Technology Entrance Scholarship: Female only: This one-time guaranteed entrance scholarship is for students with a high school average of 87% or higher. The students should be attending Fanshawe College in the Fall semester to be eligible. 

International In-course Scholarships

• International Returning Student Award: This award is open to all international visa students with a valid Study Permit. These students should be registered full-time in level 2 or above of a Fanshawe post-secondary program and should have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 from the previous semester(s) of the Fanshawe post-secondary program.
• Kim Rowe Memorial Award: This award is for all full-time International Visa students with a valid Study Permit, who have successfully completed their first year of a two-year diploma, advanced diploma, degree program, or post-graduate program at Fanshawe College and enrolled in their second year (level 3) of their program. The students should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be eligible.
• Scotiabank International Student Achievement Award: This award is for all international visa students who have a valid Study Permit and are registered full-time in Level 3 (third semester) of any Fanshawe College program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students should also demonstrate leadership and college/community involvement.

International Exchange Opportunity Scholarships

• International Learning Opportunity Scholarship: This scholarship provides financial support to eligible students to complete a portion of their academic or experiential learning abroad. The applicants completing an approved academic exchange, field study, or field placement, or co-op placement outside of Canada can apply.
