Adarsha College of Engineering, Angul was established by educationist Sri. Mahesh Chandra Dhal in 2009. It is affiliated to affiliated to BPUT, Odisha and is approved by AICTE under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and recognized by Government of Odisha. The college provides education in the Engineering discipline. Theis an ISO 9001-2008 certified co-educational engineering college for Degree, Diploma and M.Tech College in Odisha. Adarsha College of Engineering is one of the top and best engineering colleges in Odisha, India and is the first mining-engineering college for both Diploma and Degree streams in Odisha. - The candidate should have completed +2 with Science as a subject with physics, Maths, Chemistry/ Biology / Biotech, Computer Science with 45% in PCM / PBM/ PMC and should be a JEE- Main Rank Holder
- The candidate should have passed/appeared in the 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate [Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + first paper + second paper].
- There is percentage relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, that candidates alone have to secure 40% in aggregate for admission in engineering colleges

B.Tech [ Lateral Entry]

- The candidate should have completed Diploma with a minimum of 45% mark in [General] and 40% for [SC/ ST], B.Sc with a minimum of 50% and 45% for [SC/ ST] and should be an OJEE Rank Holder
- The candidate should have finished three-year diploma examination [Lateral entry Diploma] in Engineering from [SCTE&VT] State Council of Technical Education and Training [Odisha] or from an AICTE approved by the Institute or from a recognized University as defined by UGC.
- The students who have completed B.Sc degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks and have passed the 12th standard with mathematics as a subject are eligible for the course
- The candidates who belong to B.Sc field should clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics or Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering course along with the second year subjects.

Adarsha College of Engineering Hostel Details:
- The college provides hostel accommodation for both boys and girls separately.
- Two separate hostels are provided for men and that can accommodate 800 students.
- For B.Tech students, the Boys Hostel has 80 rooms and it accommodates 320 students.
- The college has a separate hostel for women.
- There are 80 rooms that accommodate 320 students.
- All the rooms have attached bathrooms for both boys hostel as well as girls hostel
- There is 24 hours water and electricity supply for both the hostels
- The hostel fee for B.Tech candidates is Rs. 18000 per year and for Diploma candidates is Rs. 16000 per year
- All the candidates are provided with the study table.
- The registration for the hostel is based on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- For the Diploma students, the boys' hostel has more than 90 rooms spread over three floors and it accommodates about 450 students.
- If there is any electricity problem, the college has 2 nos. of D.G sets.
- Separate hostel blocks are provided for B.Tech/Degree and Diploma students.
- The college has three canteens in which the students can have their meals at a nominal price of Rs. 25 as directed by the college and the students are free to take their meals from any canteen.
