Headquarters of the University
The Headquarter of the University is located in Dharamshala, Kangra District, Himachal Pradesh. Dharamshala is a place with profile and is known worldwide. Serene Location, pleasant climatic condition, spiritual atmosphere of the location provides an attractive ambience conducive to academic pursuits.
Permanent Campuses
The University has two distinct campuses located in Dharamshala and Dehra, both in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh:
- Beas Campus: Located in Dehra, it will have such Schools/Departments/Centres as may be decided by the University and may have infrastructure for about 70 percent of the academic activities of the University.
- Dhauladhar Campus: Located in Dharamshala, it will have such Schools/Departments/Centres as may be decided by the University and may have infrastructure for about 30 percent of the academic activities of the University.
The institutions of higher learning need to reap the benefits of internet revolution through integrating ICT into the learning environment. The focus is to improve the quality of education and laying a good foundation at the higher learning institution and encourage the institution and its affiliated colleges to share the resources, knowledge content, promotion and implementation of e-governance, faculty development and exchange of skills.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : 1 hostel for boys and one for girls. Per month fee of the hostel is 1000/- There are many PGs/ other options for the student. A PG cost around 4500/- per month. Food is very tasty and rent for food per month is 2500/- Classrooms are well furnished. However, labs need to be renovated.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : For admission in CUHP an entrance exam is conducted every year in the month of May- June. You should have passed your graduation in an appropriate subject. The cut off for M.Sc Zoology is approximate 70% in the entrance exam.
Placements & Internships : No internship, only assignments and projects. Students prepare for exams like NET, JRF, SET, etc.
Fees & Scholarships : Course fee per year is 19,200/- Scholarships are available for merit students on National Scholarship Portal. 50% of students get the scholarship.
Academics & Faculty : Classes start daily form 8:30 onwards. Exams are conducted in the end of November. Midterm exams are conducted in September. Teachers are experienced and the overall experience in university is very good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostels in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh one for boys and another for girls at Central University of Himachal Pradesh. Per semester hostel fee is 5000 and per month you have to pay 1650. The food is excellent because it is a student's mess. They themselves handle the mess. There are also may PGs around the CUHP which provides a good livelihood for the students. Now the infrastructure is not that big because it has not got its own buildings yet because of some govt issues in Himachal but soon it will be solved.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh are, You should be graduated from any recognised University with a minimum percentage of 60% for getting into the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. Then next step is to clear an entrance exam which CUHP conduct every year for every course in the months of June. The forms are available in May on the website of CUHP.
Placements & Internships : The Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh University provide a platform to do internships in different companies at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. The CUHP also provides a great opportunity to get placed many students have been selected in PSUs from CUHP.
Fees & Scholarships : There is no need of loans to get an education from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh. Per semester fee is around 12000 rupees. And you can also get a scholarship from University as well as from different organizations. The scholarship which CUHP provides is based on that a student should have high grades in graduation and low family income. It simply means it is for those who can not afford 12000 per sem and yet are so good in studies. The CUHP gives full fee concession for those students. For one year.
Academics & Faculty : The daily routine of Central University of Himachal Pradesh is like classes start from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.
Clubs & Associations : There are different clubs, societies in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh according to the courses. The CUHP organise different function every year. Every I would say every month. And every week there are different seminars of a different course. So life here is so good also because of the environment of Himachal. Because it is a peaceful state and beautiful as well located in the foot Hills of Dhauladhar.
