CDSIMER Infrastructure Details

CDSIMER infrastructure is stretched over a vast area of 140 acres of land in Karnataka, India. In addition to basic amenities like hostels, libraries and sports facilities, the institute take pride in itself for providing hands-on experience for the students. Some highlighting features of the Dr Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Education and Research infrastructure are listed below.

Hostel: The CDSIMER hostel blocks are separate for boys and girls. The hostels have shared facilities with common bathrooms and kitchens and other amenities like a cafeteria, medical assistance, a common dining hall, recreation room with TV, wifi and electricity backup.

Library: CDSIMER has a central library with many books, reference books, and subscriptions to various journals on engineering, management and, most importantly, m medical sciences. The CDSIMER campus library has informational CDs, DVDs, and digital library resources for the students' and faculty members' academic knowledge and research. 

Skill Lab: The skill lab is a part of the CDSIMER infrastructure to give the students a hands-on experience of the medical procedures they will perform in future. The lab is also used for teaching various invasive medical procedures to students and other staff.

Hospital Facilities: The CDSIMER infrastructure includes a state-of-the-art hospital facility with over 300 beds intending to increase that to 1350 beds in less than 4 years. The hospital has sections catering to various medical needs like a blood bank, anaesthesiology, intensive care unit, and accidents and emergencies. In addition to serving over 200 villages in the vicinity, the students can avail the hospital facilities for various medical emergencies. 

The hospital is also used to train and teach the upcoming young doctors.
