Academics & Faculty : Class timings were perfect Since I used to live in the college hostel. The classes were held closeby Usually, the classes start at 9 am and ends at around 2 pm in the noon Quality of teaching was good. The faculty was helpful and special guest lecturers from reputed universities often visited Seminars were also conducted.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : In total there are 7 hostels (college) along with several other private hostels nearby College hostels were free and only dues were the mess dues However private hostels may range from INR 3000 to INR 5000 pm.
Clubs & Associations : As being one of the most reputed colleges of Assam it provided the best possible platform to students not only on academics but also on art and cultural sector. There is a student union in the college that also plays a vital role in the welfare of students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Cotton college is considered to be one of the most prestigious colleges in northeast India with its glorious past. The admission is done on the basis of your merit. No entrance examination is taken. To get the desired course your percentage should be above 90.
Fees & Scholarships : The fees depend upon your courses. If you have practicals your fees will be slightly higher than the courses with no practicals. There are scholarships available. You need to apply for it to get it.
Academics & Faculty : The classes are from 9 to 5. Hectic I know but full of fun. You are given breaks in between, look for all the fun then. The teachers expect us to be more interactive. The more interactive you are the more interesting will be the class. College is hectic with a pinch of fun with all the events happening around.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are plenty of hostels both for girls and boys with a very friendly environment. There are private pgs available too. The college canteen is pretty good with tasty food and reasonable prices.
Clubs & Associations : There are numerous clubs for all the quotas. Be it arts, sports or debating societies. This university is a hub of talent. The main festival observed here is the cotton fest. Along with it college week is also celebrated for a week once in a year. Many other events also take place from time to time. Life in college is fun if you have friends that match your heart and mind. And it will be awesome for you if you get into any club because you'll get to meet people with likes that matches yours.
