Scholarships & Fee Concession :-
1. Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, X’ian convert and other eligible community students are eligible for full fee concession, Lumpsum Grant and Stipend. These students are eligible for the benefits irrespective of family income and marks. If information relating to the community and nativity is furnished in the S.S.L.C book of such students, no fresh certificate is to be produced by them.
2. Other Backward community students whose annual family income does not exceed Rs. 30000/- are eligiblefor full fee concession. Such students have to submit income certifcate in the prescribed form issued by the Village Officer and countersigned by the Panchayat President/Municipal Commissioner.
3. Forward community students are eligible for any one of the following kind of scholarships and fee concession subject to the minimum marks, annual family income etc.
a) National Loan Scholarship :-
Rs.6000/ and Rs.7200/- per annum for the entire course. Repayment in instalment should be made within a specified period after the studies if the scholar does not get the job of a teacher. Minimum marks required for consideration for the award is 50% Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 25,000/-.
b) Kerala State Scholarship :-
Minimum amount of award is Rs.400/- which need not be refunded if the course is satisfactorily completed. Minimum marks required for consideration of the award is 50% and maximum limit of annual family income is Rs.6000.
4. Physically Handicapped Students Scholarship
The Director of Social welfare, Trivandrum shall award the scholarship. The physically handicapped who have secured minimum 45% marks for the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
5. Merit Scholarship to the children of School Teachers
Minimum marks 60%. No refund need be effected provided the course is completed satisfactorily.
6. Fisheries Scholarship
Children of fishermen are eligible to be considered for the award of this Scholarship.
7. Post Matric Scholarship
The Govt. of Kerala shall award the scholorship for students belonging to the minority communities. To be eligible the students should have attained not less than 50% marks in the previous final examinations. The annual family income from all sources of the students parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh.
8. KPCR Fee Concession
Students from economically backward families are exempted from payment of special fees and tuition fees. This state government order is based on the Kumara Pillai Commission Report. Income limit for the concession is Rs.30000/ per annum for Degree course and Rs. 40,000/- per annum for PG Course.
9. Govt. of India Scholarship of Muslim Girls
Muslim female students of the UG and PG Programmes are eligible for this scholarship. An amount of Rs. 3000/- per year for the UG students Rs. 4000/- per year for the P. G. Students who scored 50% marks in the qualifying examination and whose parents have annual income below Rs. 2.5 lakhs can apply for this scholarship through the college office. An additional amount of Rs. 10,000/- will be awarded to the eligible students who are staying at hostels on submission of the accommodation certificate.
10. Govt. of India Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship
This scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- is awarded to the first year students of UG and PG Programmes who scored more than50% marks in the qualifying examination and who belongs to the BPL family.
11. Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship
This scholarship is an amount of Rs. 10,000/- awarded to the single girl child of a family studying in the first year of all PG Programmes.
