Placements & Internships : In Deshbandhu placements were offered for courses like Economics students. Companies such as HDFC, ICICI, RBS, etc came every day in the final semester to take interviews and select students.

Companies such as HDFC, ICICI, RBS, etc came every day in the final semester to take interviews and select students. Mostly companies were from IT, Finance, Marketing and Sales sector. Salaries ranged from Rs. 10k per month to Rs. 1 lakh per month depending on the position they hired. Delhi university has an online portal for all the students passed out from any college of DU.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Delhi university has courses which may or may not be through entrance exams. My course was solely merit based. Eligibility criteria for joining Deshbandhu College is passing the 12th in science stream with different cut off in every list that came out starting from 99% to as low as 50%. An online form was to be filled with all the courses you were interested in as soon as the list with your range of cut-off came out online on the Delhi university portal, the students had to reach their respective colleges to fill a form for enrollment with proper documents to be given to the authorities which were Marksheet photocopy, Migration certificate, Character certificate, address proof mainly.

Fees & Scholarships : Course fee was around Rs. 13k per semester which was 6 months. A lot of Scholarship opportunities were given to the brightest students which were given a prize money ranging from Rs. 2,000 to full tuition fee scholarship. Students can apply for these on the Delhi university website. Forms available online but need to be printed and sent out by hand. At least 100 students on an average were given a scholarship from all the colleges of DU. Loans were not needed due to a low fee for all semesters.

Academics & Faculty : There are assignments and projects given to the students at Deshbandhu College. The class timings are from 8 am to 4.30 pm. The quality of teachings is good. The overall experience is good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Deshbandhu college did not have any hostels at that time, but construction had started. There were a lot of PG accommodations outside college ranging from Rs. 5,000 per month. The classrooms were very poorly maintained with rarely projector presence. There is a lab facility available for the students. There are a library and wifi facility available for the students.

Clubs & Associations : There were two dance, two music, and two theater societies present at Deshbandhu College. All extracurricular activities were shown on Delhi university website but our college website was outdated. Science symposiums, trips, quizzes, etc were also very fun to attend. Fests were organized every February with some or the other celebrity singer being invited to perform. Department fests were also organized holding a lot of fun activities and food. Sports week was also average due to poor refreshment and seating arrangement. No festivals were celebrated but were off days for students. College life, in general, was amazing.
