Merit Scholarship
The following scholarships are awarded to the eligible students of Higher Secondary and Degree classes –
- National Merit Scholarship
- State Merit Scholarship
- OBC, MOBC, SC, ST Scholarship
N.B. – The disbursement of scholarship money is subject to availability of the fund from the Government.
College Students’ Aid Fund
In order to help and explore the potentials of economically backward students, the college has created Digboi College Students' Aid Fund in 2004. The Principal invites applications from the economically backward students at the beginning of the session. The Advisory Committee of the fund selects the deserving students on the basis of merit and financial condition. In the year 2013-14 an amount of Rs. 30950.00 was provided as financial assistance to 21 nos of students during admission.
DCTU Students’ Aid Fund:
Digboi College Teachers’ Unit has decided to provide financial assistance to economically backward students basing on their academic performance, regularity of attendance and good conduct. The concerned students can contact and apply to President / Secretary, Digboi College Teachers’ Unit (DCTU). In the session 2013-14, DCTU has provided financial help to 11 students @ Rs. 1000/- each.
NB:The college authority also provides financial assistance from its internal funds to poor meritorious students for admission into degree programmes.
UGC Stipendiary Benefit & Conveyance Allowance (for Degree Students)
- During the session 2012-13 a total of 116 of students received UGC conveyance allowance and 138 students received UGC merit cum means stipendiary benefit.UGC provides these financial grants to the students under following points:
- Students belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non creamy layer) & Minorities are entitled to stipendiary benefits provided they have 80% or more attendance in classes.
- Financially disadvantaged Students who have to cover distances (home to college) of 10 kms and whose attendance is 80% and above are eligible to apply for conveyance.
- There is also a provision of stipend to students belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / Minorities / Physically challenged and financially disadvantaged students on merit-cum-means basis, to be selected by the college for purchasing books, stationery and for incurring contingent expenditure.
- Allowances under these schemes of stipendiary benefits & conveyance are provided only when necessary grant are available from UGC.

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee for per year is Rs. 10,000. No there is no scholarship options available in our college for the student.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ELECTRONIC IS MINIMUM 60% WITH PHYSICS, MATHS IN 10+2 THE CUTOFF IS 60% MARKS IN 10+2
Placements & Internships : No, I have not done any internship and stipend. No, companies don't hire from our campus. Alumni network is very good. Every student comes to college and shares there own experience.
Academics & Faculty : Our daily class routine is from 9 am to 4 pm. Project timings are 3hr Exam timings in 3hr Assignment is 7 days The quality and method of teaching is very good. The overall experience in college is average
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 hostels separate for boys and girls.it cost about INR 3000 per month There are many PGs and other options outside college and they cost INR 3800 TO 4800. Quality of classrooms is average Lab is also average Library is good. Dining hall nice. No wifi on campus. No siting place in campus
Clubs & Associations : The student doesn't have unity. The main festival of college is the annual week. In which we play sport and take part in fully culture program

Fees & Scholarships : As my college was under Government Board I had to pay INR.4500 per semester. Students who achieve distinction marks get the scholarship from the college.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : I took admission to the college merit. I'm passed out from CBSE with 64% aggregate marks and I am from commerce stream.•When I took admission at that time cut off marks for financial and accouting were 60%. Placements & Internships : I have not done any internship. It is organised after the course.
Academics & Faculty : Classes run from 9 am to1 pm. Sessional exams and projects and assignments have to be done.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : 1 hostel for boys and 1 for girls. Nearby pgs ar available and cost around INR.4000.
Clubs & Associations : Students uninon like ABVP, AASU is there. Annual sports day, Independence day, Saraswati Pooja is celebrated. Life in college is a good. Many things can be learnt from college.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee at Digboi College per annum is 5,400/- with a promotion fee of 600/- Digboi College offers scholarships like Ishan Uday Scholarship for north-eastern students of India, National Merit Scholarship, State Merit scholarship, OBC, SC, ST Scholarship for students who score above 75% in 10+2. About 20 students receive the scholarship every year.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria to get admission at Digboi College are that the student must have passed 10+2 in science stream with PCM. The admission procedure is simple, forms can be collected from the college campus with the prospectus with a fee of 300 rupees. The admissions will be on merit basis with minimum 60%
Placements & Internships : Digboi College has a placement cell which helps the students to get good placements. The Digboi College alumni are excellent.
Academics & Faculty : Projects, assignments, and exams are held on a regular basis at Digboi College. The quality and method of teaching at Digboi College are excellent.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Digboi College has a girls hostel with a capacity of 100 girls and a boys hostel with a capacity of 24 boys. The mess fee of the hostel is 1000/- per month. There are PGs available outside the campus.
