Entrance Exams & Admissions :
The eligibility criteria for admission course was an entrance test that is held by the University of Calcutta. The requirement to get admission in any law college under Calcutta University is to take the entrance test and get a rank within 1000. The eligibility to take the test is to pass Higher Secondary Examinations with a minimum of 50 per cent.
Fees & Scholarships :
The course fee per year at George Group of Colleges, Kolkata is Rs. 60000. Scholarships are not offered to the students by the college. Loans are not needed for students with a strong financial background.
Academics & Faculty :
The classes begin at 10:30 AM in the morning with the duration of each class being 1 hour. Students get a break for 30 minutes after which the classes resume again at 2 PM which is followed by the last class of the day at 3 PM. The quality and method of teaching is not so great and can be better.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The college does have a hostel. The PGs outside would be a better option for students because it will cut down costs because compared to the hostel, they are comparatively cheaper. The quality of the food in the canteen is not so good and there are not too many options either. However, there are a lot of shops outside the college that offer good food at cheap prices.
Clubs & Associations :
There aren't too many student societies in the college, but the college does have its own cricket team. The college also takes part in many of the Rotaract Club events so students interested in social services can join that club.
