Applicants must possess a strong academic background to be eligible for admission to GNIOT Institute of Management Studies PGDM. Applicant should have cleared or appeared in CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/GIMS Aptitude test in order to be considered for admission as a relevant scorecard is demanded during the admissions. The selection process consists of six stages application form submission, screening of application form, entrance test scores, GD, PI, and final selection round.

• Candidate should have cleared his graduation with 50% marks for general and 45% for reserved categories.

• Screening of Application Form

  • Application forms are scrutinized by the GIMS admission panel, appointed for the academic year.
  • Shortlisting based on:
    • Consistency of academic record.
    • Versatility of academic records.

• Competitive Entrance Test (CET)

  • GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT) or CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT scores.
  • GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT): A 45-minute test similar to the CAT exam.
  • Candidates with valid CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT scores are exempt from GAT.

• Group Discussion (GD) and Essay Writing

  • Shortlisted candidates with qualifying scores will be invited for GD (either in person or virtually).
  • Topic provided by the panelists for discussion.
  • Scoring based on participation in GD and essay writing (500-700 words on the GD topic).

• Personal Interview (PI)

  • Candidates who qualify for GD will be invited for PI, which may be conducted online or offline.
  • The PI panel consists of at least two evaluators.

• Final Selection Merit

  • Final selection is based on merit, which is generated after the entire selection process.
