Gondwana University is a University situated in Eastern Maharashtra that came into existence on 23rd June 2010 by the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Its main objective is to inculcate in its student's academic knowledge as well industrial exposure.

The Gondwana University has been conceived and formed with a foresighted view to cater the aspirations of the economically so also socio-culturally backward districts of Gadchiroli and Chandrapur.
