IIM Sirmaur Scholarship Details

The Government of India established the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) as a Centrally Funded Institution of National Importance in 2015. IIM Sirmaur is a relatively new addition to the IIM family of institutions in India. Its mission is to deliver high-quality management education while also promoting related fields of study and inter-disciplinary research. The institute offers scholarships based on different categories. IIM Sirmaur scholarship is given in detail below.

Financial Assistance

PhD students do not have to pay tuition fees. They will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs 30,000 to cover their living expenses for the next five years. The honorarium is contingent on making adequate progress over the course of the program. Students must attend class full-time and spend 100% of their time to coursework and research and assist with teaching and research. Other sources of financial assistance for students in IIM Sirmaur include:

• A one-year start-up grant of Rs. 60,000 would be provided to cover the costs of procuring hardware, software, and other related items.
• Annual contingency grant of Rs. 25,000 (in 2–5 years) to cover expenses for purchasing hardware, software, and other items.
• Stipend increase post-proposal: Rs. 2,000, for a monthly stipend of Rs. 32,000.
• Monthly HRA for individuals who reside off-campus: Rs. 5000
• From the first to the fifth year, National Conference awards of up to Rs. 20,000 per year are available (to be provided as per actuals and guidelines applicable).
• Grants of Rs. 2,00,000 for international conferences over a five-year period (to be provided as per actuals and guidelines applicable).
