The SCPC is busy to provide the references to the students for advancement of subject knowledge, general knowledge and personality development with special effort in preparation for various competitive examinations. The Cell has a library with capacity of around 300 books for preparation of different competitive examinations. The students are acquainted with guidance on different issues such as preparation of higher study in India through JRF and SRF for B. Sc. (Agri.) and M. Sc. (Agri.) students respectively of the college as well as abroad study through IELTS, TOEFEL, G-MAT, service sector in various competitive exams, preparation for innovative projects, preparation for ARS/NET exams conducted by UGC/ASRB/CSIR. Lectures by experts of different faculties/subjects are also arranged every year for the UG and PG students to update their knowledge. Guest lectures, mock interview, personality development classes, quiz competition, awareness about passport/VIZA etc. are also organized from time to time. Our Student Counseling and Placement Cell, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, College of Agriculture, J.A.U., Junagadh plays a vital role in the overall development of the UG and PG students of our College of Agriculture, J.A. U., Junagadh.

Around 35 students are studied in various countries for their higher education and many settled in abroad.
Few students appointed in IAS and IFS caders.
Every year the students of this college recruited in Govt. and Semi Govt. sectors like, Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Horticulture, Dept. of Forest, SAU of various states, other departments etc.
Many students joined private industrial sectors such as fertilizer companies, pesticides companies, seed companies, nationalized banks etc.
Few students started their own business in Agro-industries and settled well with good reputation.
