KIIT School of Fashion Technology caters to national and international students aspiring to be Textile & Fashion Design Graduates. It is a multi-faculty Institute offering UG and PG programs in the areas of Fashion Design and Fashion Textiles.

For professional development and enrichment, the KIIT School of Fashion Technology provides students, faculty, and researchers the following facilities.

The following are the infrastructures present in the KIIT School Of Fashion Technology 

Library 

  • The Central Library, a 10-story, 10,000-square-meter structure, serves as the University's primary learning resource hub. 
  • The central library is critical to the success of the university's academic programmes. It identifies, evaluates, acquires, processes, and distributes learning resources to teachers, students, and research scholars for use in teaching, learning, and research.
  • The Library comprises  1,363,885  books and various e-books and e-journals

Cafeteria 

  • Cafeteria & Canteen: KIIT's Canteen delivers great multi-cuisine cuisine. Odia, South Indian, Chinese, and Continental foods are on the menu. The campus cafeteria sells soft and hot drinks, snacks, and ice cream.
  • Food Courts: There are 15 Food Courts that specialise in cuisines from throughout the world. They offer a diverse menu of national and international dishes. These food courts are in addition to the 20 canteens affiliated with the same number of dormitories.

Classroom

  • Each campus has enough classrooms to accommodate the 20,000 students enrolled at KIIT University. 
  • Classrooms are air-conditioned and built to international standards. The instruction is delivered using an LCD projector and other modern teaching aids.

Gym

  • The KIIT Sports & Fitness Centre contains a swimming pool, multi-gym, and other sports and games space.

Auditorium 

  • KIIT provides an ideal setting for national and international conferences and seminars. 
  • Its Central Convention Centre Complex includes a world-class Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1600 people, as well as a Guest House with 5-star facilities (42 suites), Conference Halls (18 Nos. ), an Exhibition Ground (5 acres), and a Banquet Hall. 
  • It is the biggest of its kind in Odisha and one of the best in Eastern India. In addition, each campus has well-equipped auditoriums and conference spaces. 
  • There are 20 Open Air Theatres (OATs) on various campuses, with capacities ranging from 500 to 50000 people.

Hostel 

  • There are separate dorms for boys and girls, each having 24-hour wireless internet and intranet access. 
  • Air conditioning is available in around 30% of the hostel rooms.
  •  All of the hostels have attached canteens that provide high-quality Indian and Continental cuisine. 
  • Foreign students are housed at an international hostel. 
  • Each hostel provides a 24-hour reading area as well as indoor and outdoor game facilities.

Design Laboratory 

  • Design Laboratory is a creative laboratory where students will translate their thoughts and feelings into necessary documentation. 
  •  It also educates a new generation of designers that combine deep scientific knowledge with creative design abilities, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to predict the societal implications of new technology.

Garment Construction Laboratory 

  • This laboratory and its facilities are intended to develop professional-level clothing-making and production skills, from beginner to advanced levels, spanning a variety of outfits. It has a full spectrum of textile production equipment, with JUKI providing the majority of the garment-building equipment.

Weaving Laboratory 

  • The weaving laboratory uses laboratory facilities such as sample looms and tape looms to translate the designers' creativity into a product.

Pattern Making & Draping Laboratory

  • The pattern-creating lab allows students to autonomously design patterns for many types of clothes. It gives students hands-on experience while also cultivating their creativity in fashion design. 

Computer-Aided Designing Laboratory

  • CAD software is used to increase designer efficiency, improve design quality, improve communication through documentation, and establish a database for manufacturing. 
  • Students will learn how computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing can be applied to traditional skills such as pattern cutting, grading, lay planning, fashion design, and fabric design in terms of weave design, colour design, or print design using various CAD software packages.

Colour (DYEING AND PRINTING) Laboratory

  • This Laboratory is used for colouring and dying fabrics, it holds a variety of dyes from natural dyes to synthetic dyes 

Testing Laboratory 

  • With the facilities provided in the laboratory, the testing laboratory assists students in studying various tests of fibres, yarns, and textiles used in garments and clothing.

Resource Centre 

  • The resource centre provides information through its library to help people expand and enrich their knowledge and skills. The testing laboratory, with its resources, supports students in studying various tests of fibres, yarns, and textiles used in garments and clothing.
