Library

The library is well equipped and is useful for students of all streams. For the newly introduced subjects also, a good number of useful books have been procured. The library is being expanded and upgraded to cope up with the demands of the students, specially for the newly introduced courses and subjects. The librarian and his colleagues are very careful about the needs of the students and the teachers. The decision has been taken for computerized cataloguing of books. The college also subscribes to a number of journals and periodicals for the library. We hope to setup a reading room in this session.

Games & Sports

There are arrangements for indoor games. Students participate in inter-college Football, Cricket and Sport competitions. Annual sports is held every year.Some of the college students are members of various clubs playing Division level tournaments in cricket. Some students also take part in District level athletics meet.

AID Fund

Students’ Aid Fund is meant for meritorious students coming from economically backward families who have not received any scholarship or concession in any form. Aid Fund will be given only to those students who are meritorious but come from poor families and regularly attend classes.

Career Fair

In the previous academic year the college successfully organised a career fair for the students in which different Corporate Houses,Training Institutes, Indian Air-Force also took part with many offers and opportunities. This helped the students to a great extent in their future planning.

Students’ Health Home

The college students are entitled to medical facilities provided by the Students’ Health Home of the Govt. Of West Bengal.

Canteen

The college has a good space for canteen for students who get food items at subsidized rates.

Cycle Stand

For the convenience of the students coming to the college on cycles from neighboring areas, the college has set up a cycle stand.

Computer Training Facility

The college has a well furnished computer training centre of its own in the new college building to provide computer training facilities to the students. Apart from providing facilities to regular courses, the college offers short term computer literacy courses to the B.A. And B.Sc. Students.

N.S.S

The college has opened a unit of National Social Service (recognised by C.U.) To encourage the students in social services such as blood donation, health awareness programme, health check-up, social awareness, special camp inside the college are organised. The NSS unit of the college achieved reputation in the Calcutta University. Anurag Mahato, B.A., 3rd yr student was awarded best Girl of NSS volunteer for the session 2010-2011. She also joined the special camp organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt.of India, as one of the representatives of West Bengal. Pijush Kanti Dey, 1st yr.B.Com., joined National Youth Convention on celebrating diversity in unity organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The College is associated with Red Ribbon Club a social organisation engaged in social work, (Eye Camp).
