Library & Information Centre

The Central Library of the college is well furnished and well equipped with the carpet area of 711 Sq.mts., which can accommodate about 250 students. The library caters to the need of more than 2000 students, teachers, non-teaching staff and research scholars for various departments. It ensures support and aids with books and electronic resources for teaching, research and extension programs. The books are arranged and classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. All faculty and students are the members of the library.

The Central Library is equipped with 28924 volumes of books in various Engineering disciplines and is continuously being strengthened by adding new technical literature in the form of periodicals, encyclopedias, Text books, Reference books, national and international journals. Library subscribes more than 142 IEEE e-journals through INDEST-AICTE consortium, New Delhi and 4,200 e-journals from Jgate.

The Library uses the Easy Library Software package which is an integrated multi-user Library management system that facilitates all in-house operations of the library. The package consists of modules on Acquisition, Circulation, Serials, Article indexing and OPAC Retrospective Conversion of bibliographic records. The Data base of books available in the library is being updated on day-to-day basis with details of recently acquired.

We have large Play Fields. We have excellent facilities with latest updated equipment & accessories.

• Yoga Training Cell with exclusive facilities has been set up in the campus.

Internet Center

The Institute buildings as well as are provided with structured cabling network with 1 Gbps backbone of OFC and hostels with Wi-Fi to access the resources available on the Internet. The Institute has a leased line and each student is provided with an MAC address of his own. All the websites browsed by him/her are regularly monitored.

• We have the computing facility of 725 Desktops with the appropriate Servers.

• The college has the 10 number of an excellent Computer Laboratories equipped with latest configuration and the Licensed software’s.

• All the systems are connected through LAN. The Department is also equipped with an Internet connectivity to facilitate the faculty.

• We have a dedicated 28 MBPS leased from Railtel and BSNL NMEICT internet line to facilitate the teaching learning process and research needs.

Ramnujam Seminar Hall & Sir. C.V.Raman Indoor Auditorium

A well furnished centrally air conditioned Seminar Hall and Indoor Auditorium for hosting Guest Lectures by experts. The College has also proposals to conduct State and National Level Seminars by providing exposure and interaction for students by inviting experts in various fields. The Student technocrats bring with them the colourful facets of their culture. The Seminar Hall having ultra-modern facilities like hands free LCD Projector, Audio Visual equipment to conduct academic programmes like Seminars, Workshops, Symposiums etc.

Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open Auditorium

KEC has a well-planned and duly constructed open auditorium with all facilities and comforts. All important functions are held in this auditorium.

Conference Hall

The College has well-furnished and air-conditioned conference hall for hosting conferences.

Hostel

Separate hostels for boys and girls are available with all the requisite facilities. Serene and secure, the hostels have been designed to recreate a home-like atmosphere for the students. A resident warden is available round the clock to ensure that the students’ requirements are met as well as to maintain the decorum. Medical attention is also instantly made available. For recreation, there are indoor and outdoor games as well as television.

College Mess

The college mess is situated in a beautiful natural setting. It’s a nice place to have a break and ease tension. Our canteen items of food provided are a blend of South-Indian dainties. Items of food are provided at reasonable rates. Quality and quantity are assured at the same time. The mess remains open at all working days. A Committee consisting of the staff, students and trustees oversees its service and its upkeep.

Transport

The College has its own transportation for students residing outside the campus. The transport facility is provided to students commuting from all parts of Kuppam and surrounding areas.

Bank with ATM

The Kuppam branch of Indian Bank with ATM operates on campus for the benefit of students and staff.

Cafeteria

A cafeteria and a canteen operates on campus to provide wholesome gourmet to the students.

Security

The boys and girls hostels are guarded by 24-hours security, thereby ensuring that the students are safe and secure on campus.
