The institute infrastructure comprises a well-established studio practice, which encourages effective and diverse visualisation skills.

Wood Studio
This studio is spacious and has all the requisite facilities and equipment, required for working in wood. This includes an array of items like:
Furniture
Partitions
Doors
Windows
Boxes
Wooden objects
Students are also taught about various aspects of the woodwork like cutting, planing, joining and others.
Printing Studio
At this studio, NID's publications are printed, besides other professional assignments.
The printing studio is also capable of silkscreen printing, primarily for exhibitions and other graphic purposes.
Animation Studios
The animation studios are one of the very few that have the capability to produce 16mm animation films in-house, due to the Oxberry camera.
The Quick Action Recorder (QAR) also enable students to make line tests of their animation.
The studio is also strengthened with the multimedia capable computer.
Textile Studio
The Primary purpose of these studies is to provide the opportunity to experiment and to develop prototypes/samples.
The studios provide continuous support to education, research and development.
Apparel Studio
The facilities in this studio cater to the draping and tailoring needs of Apparel students.
It also has facilities for development of accessories.
