National Institute of Financial Management Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Faridabad, offers modern amenities to students for holistic development. The campus is spread over 42 acres of land. It is equipped with classrooms, a well-stocked library, a market simulation lab, executive hostels, outdoor theatre, auditorium and recreation facilities like billiards, squash, table tennis, badminton, gymnasium, and more. More details regarding the NIFM Faridabad infrastructure are given below.

Training Infrastructure

• There are eleven ac lecture halls, one conference hall, one seminar hall, and one board room.

Computer Labs

• NIFM Faridabad facility includes two computer labs and one research lab equipped with Pentium dual-core processors and 10 Mbps leased line internet access.
• It features Wi-Fi internet access that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Hostel

• The hostel building, which matches in design with the main institute building, has accommodation for about 175 trainees on a single and double occupancy basis.
• Daily newspapers/magazines are available for reading in the lounge (ground floor) of the hostel.
• Two internet labs have been provided in the hostel lobby with computers.
• Five washing machines have been installed in the hostel for use by the probationers/trainee officers.
• Reverse Osmosis Water Filters are installed in the hostel. Probationers are advised not to drink unfiltered water.
• Two lines have been provided in the hostel to avail STD facility through VCC cards or conferencing on a payment basis.

Library

• National Institute of Financial Management infrastructure includes a library spread over approximately 1000 sq. meters of carpet area with two floors.
• The library of the NIFM Faridabad is computerised, bar-coded and searchable through OPAC using the “Gyanodaya” package, an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the library.
• All library procedures, i.e. acquisition, technical processing, circulation, book reservation and stock verification, are automated.
• The NIFM Faridabad library has about 30,000 books, CD-ROMs, video cassettes, and bound periodicals.
• In addition, the NIFM Faridabad library has subscriptions to 84 Indian periodicals, 26 foreign journals, 17 magazines, and 19 newspapers.

Mess

• The mess has an air-conditioned lounge as well as an air-conditioned dining hall. A contractor provides the mess food. The probationers are expected to adhere to the mealtime schedule strictly.

Medical Services

• A Medical Officer (currently Dr K.S. Jindal) visits the dormitory to provide medical services to the officer trainees at specific times.
• On Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an Ayurvedacharya, Dr. Sandeep Verma, visits the hostel to provide medical services to the officer trainees.

Auditorium and Theatre

• The institute features an open-air theatre with seating for 500 people where cultural events are held.
