The college offers financial assistance in the form of scholarships based on their academic performance and financial conditions. Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions set by the college to avail of the financial aid. Further details about the NIT Warangal scholarship are mentioned below.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class Education for SC students
- The annual family income from all sources is up to 8 lakh.
- The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi, only provides scholarships to eligible SC students based on their institute admitted ranks.
- If more than one student with equal ranks to the last eligible slot, then preference shall be given to the student with the lowest family income.
- Thirty percent of slots allotted to this college is reserved for eligible SC girls as per their merit ranks. However, as mentioned, the 30% slots will not include the girl students who are selected based on their performance in the overall merit list of SC students of the institute.
- Once awarded, the scholarships will continue till the completion of the course depending on the student's satisfactory performance (for the renewal students only).
- The NIT Warangal scholarship shall be terminated if the student fails the final examination.
Awards of scholarship
- The scholarship offers full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (Complete tuition fee waiving students are eligible for only non-refundable and hostel charges).
- The living expenses are around Rs 36000 per annum to freshers and Rs 22200 per annum for Renewal students.
- It covers books and stationery and provides Rs.5000 per annum to freshers and Rs 3000 per annum to renewal students.
- The NIT Warangal offers scholarship to the latest reputed brand computer or laptop with accessories 45000 as one-time assistance during the course.
- The student should purchase the latest reputed computer/ laptop, including all accessories and submit the genuine bill after purchasing, and the quotations are not accepted.
National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students
- The annual family income from all sources should be around 6 lakh.
- The institute has the authority to forward online scholarship applications submitted by the student and upload the documents from the institute login to the NSP portal.
- The Ministry is the final authority to choose various eligible lists from the online forwarded applications by the institute based on the 10+2 percentage (grades are not valid only percentage is required) and family income for the applications.
- The total number of slots for the fresh scholarship is 1000 all over India.
- There is no ceiling in the number of slots for the scholarship institution and streamwise. Once awarded, the scholarships will continue till the completion of the course subject to the student's satisfactory performance.
- The NIT Warangal scholarship will terminate if the student fails the final examination of each year or any terminal examination prescribed.
- If any 2, 3 and 4th-year students are applying for a fresh scholarship, they have to inform the scholarship officials why they are applying as fresh.
Awards of Scholarship
- The scholarship covers full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (complete tuition fee waiving students are eligible for only nonrefundable and hostel charges as below)
- The living expenses of Rs 26400 maximum per annum (It means hostel charges, and it will be reimbursed to the students who resides in the hostel premises).
- The NIT Warangal scholarship provides Rs 3000 per annum / for books and stationery. The computer or laptop amount is worth Rs. 45000 (if any student has already received the computer charges earlier from this Ministry, then again, they are not eligible to receive the same) are also offered.
