Pillai College of Engineering, was established in 1990 as a Malayalam Linguistic Minority Institute affiliated to University of Mumbai, approved by AICTE and Recognised by Govt. of Maharashtra. Mahatma Education Society is celebrating its 50th year in the field of education and is a pioneer in establishing and managing institutions in various streams of education at almost all levels. PCE was started as Pillai Institute of Information Technology, Engineering, Media Studies and Research, and popularly known as PIIT in the year 2000. The name of the institute was changed as Pillai College of Engineering in the year 2016. Pillai College of Engineering offers various courses in the engineering discipline. The college also offers other programs which conducted by Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and IIT Bombay Remote Center which include ISTE workshops to enhance the technical skills of students.
MHT CET Registration
Candidates should fill the online application form through DTE Maharashtra website. Application fees can be paid online only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile.Application fees is INR 800 for General candidates belonging to Maharashtra as well as other states. For other category students, the application fee is INR 600. Upon successful payment, candidate shall take the print out of MHT-CET Registration Confirmation.
BE Admission Process
For admission to BE course, candidates should submit the application form along with the processing fee of INR 1500. Candidates seeking admission to BE course have to register for counseling process through DTE Maharashtra website upon paying application fee of INR 800 for general candidates of Maharashtra as well as other states and INR 600 for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
ME Admission Process
Upon declaration of CAP schedule for admission to ME, applicants are required to collect application kit from his/her nearest facilitation centre. The application kit consists of login credentials i.e. username and password.The login credentials are to be used by candidates for filling of application forms. Upon form filling, candidates have to submit a printed copy of the application form along with required documents in person to the nearest Facilitation Centre.
Pillai College of Engineering (PCE) offers BE degree course in 6 specializations and candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as one of the subjects and at least 50% marks.
MHT-CET entrance test is mandatory for candidates belonging to Maharashtra. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, there is a relaxation of 5% in the required qualifying marks at HSC examination. Candidates with diploma in Engineering and Technology or B.Sc degree from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks are also eligible for admission. Admissions are based on marks obtained in MHT-CET, conducted by DTE or JEE Main, conducted by CBSE. Qualified students will be allotted seats through Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

PCE, Navi Mumbai offers ME courses in 5 disciplines and candidates should have passed bachelor degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of GATE score. Admission to ME program is provided through Centralized Admisson Process (CAP), conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.For sponsored candidates, a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and / or research institute / any government department or government autonomous organization in the relevant field.
